President of the Republic challenges CDM to increase use of local raw materials
The President of the Republic, Filipe
Nyusi challenged the company Beers of
Mozambique (CDM) to expand the local
supplier base materials and services
necessary for the manufacture of
beverages, in order to contribute more to the development of the communities
activities. This challenge was launched
last Friday in Maputo, at the central
ceremony to mark the celebrations of
the 20th anniversary of the national
brewing under the management of CDM. Nyusi argued that the use of some
local suppliers in the acquisition of raw
materials, particularly sugar and cassava is
also an incentive and clear
demonstration that other materials that
are still matters for the beer production process can be purchased
locally , which will be a real contribution
to national development. For example locally cultivated cassava cassava is a main ingredient in the production of impala beer which is a product of CDM.
