100 million meticais to return power to Maputo

Electricity of Mozambique needs 100 million meticais to restore the power supply to the cities of Maputo and Matola, through the  Matola substation The budget is intended for the repair of both infrastructure and transformers. It is that last week's
breakdown damaged the single
transformer which was running on the spot and left the substation
producing no energy. According to the company spokesman, Luís Amado, the first failure occurred in March this year and damaged the coil of one of the two transformers which since then, is not working.
It is estimated that for the repair of
each transformer is needed 50 million
meticais, values ​​that serve to finance the importation of new coils and the
technical team of the experts that is
on the ground.
