Dhlakama Ambush:Police asks for concrete information on authors

Police said yesterday that research
continues to neutralize the perpetrators
of the attack on Saturday on the caravan
Afonso Dhlakama, considering
"baseless" accusations of having played
part in the ambush. "The investigative activity continues, with a view to neutralizing
the possible authors, since the
information came that there would
have been a few shots against the
column carrying the Renamo
supporters,"said Inacio Dina spokesman of the police yesterday during the police weekly press conference. Dina said the police remains at ground
zero to gather data that may help clarify
the crime and will appreciate all the data that may contribute to establishing the
truth, including the collection of
testimonials from people who were in
Dhlakama's entourage.
