GVT TO ANSWER QUESTIONS IN PARLIAMENT TOMORROW

The Government of Mozambique will this Wednesday go to parliament to answer the questions of the deputies.


Among them stand out clarification about EMATUM(Empresa Mocambicana de Atum (EMATUM), a state-owned tuna-fishing company created in August 2013), Persecution of Renamo leader and ongoing actions to mitigate the effects of disasters in the country.

The Filipe Nyusi executive will give answers to questions raised by the three parliamentary groups (Frelimo, Renamo and MDM) on the degree of implementation of the economic and social program for the year ending . Government is now aware of the issues that the three parliamentary groups want to see answered.

The Frelimo majority, taking into account the rainy season ahead, wants to know what actions are being prepared to prevent tragedies mainly in areas prone to flooding.

Renamo requires explanations for the persecution of its leader Afonso Dhlakama and the criteria for distribution of national wealth.Renamo,the ''partridge'' also wants the government to explain why during the forty years of national independence there is unbalanced development between south, center and north of the country.


Already MDM(MOZAMBIQUE MOVEMENT FOR DEMOCRATIC CHANGE) is concerned with the alleged mismanagement of the subsidiaries by the State, including the company Telecommunications of Mozambique(TDM), Mozambique Cellular (Mcel)and the Mozambican Insurance Company.


This parliamentary group also requires the government to clarify EMATUM's debt status,how EMATUM is run and who really is behind the company.It is widely alleged 3 that high ranking political figures really own the fishing company.
