Mozambique prepares sixth tender for hydrocarbon exploration

Barely finished the fifth international public tender for hydrocarbon exploration in Mozambique, there is talk of the launch of the sixth contest in two years.

According to Reuters, Moçambique will launch in 2017 a new tender for the research and exploration of hydrocarbons. Quoting José Branquinho, director of evaluation of the National Institute of Petroleum Resources (INP), which is participatimg at a conference in Capetown in South Africa, the institute's strategy is to launch international tenders every two years.

The National Institute of Petroleum (INP) of Mozambique announced Wednesday the results of the fifth tender to concession areas for exploration and production of hydrocarbons in 11 areas at sea (offshore) and four on land (onshore) which will represent an investment of 700 million dollars over the next four years.
