Traditional healers in the fight against albinos trafficking
Hundreds of traditional doctors
belonging to the Traditional Healers Association of Mozambique are being
mobilized in the province of Nampula,
to be part of the strategy to halt the
wave of persecution and murder of people with skin pigmentation
problems. The strategy is to denounce
the people who express interest in
using albino body parts for obscurantism purposes and among
other actions and discourage the practice through awareness campaigns
in the neighborhoods. The information
was revealed yesterday in Nacala by the Deputy Attorney General ,Amabélia Chuquela, who is on a visit to that Province.
